New Update: Survival System, Improved Chat and Gameplay Fixes

A new Legends of Ater update is now available, bringing the survival system, interface improvements and several gameplay fixes.

A new update for Legends of Ater is now available.

This update brings several improvements to the interface, gameplay comfort and core systems, along with new survival-related features.

One of the main additions is the new survival system, introducing thirst, hunger and comfort. These new mechanics add more depth to exploration and adventure, making preparation and resource management more important during gameplay.

The user interface has also received several improvements. The nameplate system has been improved to better display names and health bars above NPCs, monsters and harvestable resources. The chat system has also been reworked: it is now hidden by default when there are no messages, messages only appear when received, and the full chat interface only opens while typing.

This update also includes several fixes and quality-of-life adjustments. Shortcut display issues have been fixed to prevent default shortcuts from being reloaded unexpectedly, auto-attack has been corrected, and the spell bar size has been reduced to improve interface readability.

The keybind system has also been updated: it is no longer possible to assign multiple actions to the same key, with the exception of Cancel Channeling and Block, which can still share the same key.

Finally, the full French translation has been added, and a new key now allows players to show or hide the mouse cursor outside of menus.

This update is another step toward improving the overall gameplay experience, with a cleaner interface, important fixes and the first survival systems now in place.
